There are information about find of Brown meagre or corb Sciaena umbra (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Jarilagatsky Gulf in 2016 in the presented paper. It is known, that this species more characteristic for marine aquatories with solid bottom. The appearance of the species in the water area with sand and sand silt is interesting and needs further investigation.
