SHORT ORATION BY GENNADY G. POLIKARPOV DURING RECEIVING THE V. I. VERNADSKY IUR AWARD: GOLD MEDAL & DIPLOMA (BERGEN, NORWAY, 18 JUNE 2008)

Abstract

Prof. Gennady G. Polikarpov, from the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas (IBSS) at Sebastopol (Ukraine) has been granted the 2d IUR V. I. Vernadsky Award, by unanimous decision of the Board of Council.
Through a long and brilliant scientific career, Prof. G. Polikarpov has promoted a major overall contribution to the development of Radioecology, both from initiation of new concepts and findings, and also an impressive record of experimental work that is largely published in the open international literature.
