ANNUAL DYNAMICS OF A POLYCHAETE SACCOCIRRUS PAPILLOCERCUS (ARCHIANNELIDA) POPULATION FROM THE INTERSTITIAL ZONE (BLACK SEA, THE SEVASTOPOL BAY)

The changes of abundance, average, weight and distribution of intersticial polychaete Saccocirrus papillocercus have been described. The species dominated at the part of the Kazachya bay shore with large washed sand. High abundance was registered in summer with a peak in August (7000 ex. m-2). Minimal average weight was registered in June – July. In winter and spring S. papillocercus practically not met over the water margin, dominating in the marginal abyss and lower. In summer abundance is higher in the marginal abyss, where the main reproduction takes place.
