Abstract

Investigated the chronic effects of copper and zinc on growth of the olfactory organs of larval grass shrimp. After exposure of the larvae within 3 weeks in solutions of zinc 20 and 60 μg l-1 and copper 60 μg l-1 for 2 weeks showed regular decrease compared to the control of such morphometric parameters as body length, diameter and length of the outer flagellum of antennules, the length of aesthetascs. The greatest decrease of almost all morphometric parameters of olfactory organ occurred when exposed to 60 μg l-1 of zinc.
